Good Morning

I wonder if anyone else on Methotrexate has frequent nose bleeds? I take 15mg each week plus 6 Folic Acid Tablets.. This combination means my nose is running most of the time and then a nose bleeds happens very quickly. My blood pressure is not high when measured by the practice nurse.

I know this sounds trivial.

I can't answer your question but I would say it's not a trivial issue because you can soon become anaemic with minor blood loss when the underyling condition (RA) can also cause anaemia. Enough to oush you over the tipping point?

Can't say whether it is RA related but I know when my Mum was having regular nose bleeds it was because her blood pressure was high and out of control. When I decided to take her to hospital, she looked round at me and said 'My eyes feel funny' - she was literally bleeding out of her eyes like in a horror story! Scared

So, go to doctor! ThumpUp

Hope all is well.

Angie

PS - Mum is fine.
